Description

Two men are swinging mattocks to harvest bamboo shoots. A third man is squatting on the ground and pointing. The photographer has labeled the print, "H52. Cutting Young Bamboo," and Turner has added the inscription, "The bamboo is one of the most useful of Japanese productions. The young shoots are good to eat. They grow incredibly rapid."
