Description

An image of women at Mukojima, Toyko. They are sitting and standing around a table with what appears to be food and straw mats for sitting. A famous garden was established in Mukojima in the early 19th century, the Hyakkaen Gardens. The photographer has titled the print, "B. 1163 Wayside resting place at Mukojima, Tokyo.," and Turner has added the inscription, "Cherry trees in full bloom in Japan look more like immense rose bushes than anything else. People travel for miles to see a famous cherry tree in full bloom."
