Two men -- one dressed as a Shinto priest (left) and the other as a Buddhist monk (right) -- are engaged in a game of go. The photographer has labeled the print, "H13. Playing Checkers," and Turner has added the inscription, "A Shinto and Buddhist priest. Playing 'goban' or gobang' as you in America call it." (Note: "goban" is the Japanese word for the board on which go is played.)
