Great Buddha (Daibutsu) at Kotokuin Temple in Kamakura. There is a boy standing on the statue's hands facing the viewer and another person standing on the stone steps in front of it facing the statue. The photographer has labeled the print, "A 87 Daibutsu at Kamakura." Turner has added the inscription, "'Great Buddha'". and in a separate column to the left, "Height 49 feet, Length of face 8 ft, " " eye 3 [feet] 11 in, " " ear 6 [feet] 6", " " mouth 3 [feet] 2".
