This print shows women and children under the wisteria trellis at the Kameido Tenjin Shrine. Kameido Shrine is dedicated to the 9th century scholar and poet Sugawara no Michizane. Planted during the Edo period, the wisteria trellis in the photo was destroyed during World War; the present one is a restoration. The photographer has labelled the print, "A45. Kameido Tokio." Turner has added the inscription, "A view in a Japanese park."
